Ireth-Celebrindal has been online since August of 2008. The webmistress Katrina started the site when she was 12, and taught herself web design; through the succeeding months, she slowly developed it slowly into what it is now. Since then, she has acquired much useful knowledge about the working of the Internet, such as WebForms and widgets. Katrina is now affiliated with a host of other Lord of the Rings fansites, and Ireth-Celebrindal is becoming more popular and more known in the LotR fandom.
In addition, Katrina set up two daughter sites of Ireth-Celebrindal in March of 2009: Scribes of Rivendell, a site for LotR fanfiction and fanfiction contests; and ChloePhoenix, her personal LotR weblog under her common Internet pseudonym, Chloe Phoenix.
